Dermal fillers are non-surgical injectable treatments that may be used to restore selected areas of volume loss, refine facial contours and soften the appearance of some lines. At Hillsborough Aesthetics, we use hyaluronic acid-based fillers in areas such as the lips, cheeks, chin, jawline and under-eye area where clinically appropriate. Every treatment plan is based on an individual consultation, facial assessment and discussion of the expected benefits, limitations and risks.

Swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising may occur. The degree and duration of recovery vary according to the treatment area and individual response.

What Happens During Treatment
Following a consultation to discuss your goals, a topical numbing cream is applied for comfort. Your doctor then carefully injects hyaluronic acid filler using fine needles or cannulas, sculpting the filler to achieve your desired shape and volume. The filler contains local anaesthetic for added comfort. The treatment takes 30–60 minutes with results visible immediately.
